The amazing disappearing child of one of the main characters.
Discuss.
Okay, since I invited myself to discuss, I think this is what happened to Master Hinkley: I think Ralph realized the brat kid would be better off living with Satan Alicia, so sent him packin' before some bad guy could off his kid to get to the creepy guy in the red jammies.

I think that it had to be that.
Ralph wasn't the type to bury the kid out in the backyard.

I don't know. I think that Alicia might have made a strong case against him and since he was always running around with Bill...the courts might have decided that he was not father material. Of course, we have to presume he has him through PLAGUE even if he is not seen because he is referred to as though he is still present and doing well...although this is the last on-screen mention of him.
I would hope that he was watching out for the safety of Kevin and that is why he is gone, but I could see it being the other way around. Note that Kevin does not even return to see Grandma in WHO'S WOO nor was he in the wedding episode. To me, this looks as though he was not given up willingly by Ralph who DEFINITELY would have wanted him there for the second one.

I think Alicia just lied and used her little paparazzi-type investigators to find ways to convince the judge to keep Ralph from keeping/visiting Kevin. She was snobbish and didn't think Ralph would be a good father to Kevin. Yes, he did go on errands with Bill and that was part of it, but I doubt that he'd be dealing with the agent 24/7/52 or 365.
While Kevin also says that he loves both, I think he liked Ralph more too based on how he acted around him. Ralph also returned his love a little more genuinely over Alicia in the one ep we see her in. He definitely would've at least invited Kevin to the wedding, and I have a sinking feeling too Alicia, being as vain as she was, said to Ralph "forget it."

To me, Kevin always seemed super attached to both. Even in RESEDA ROSE, he wanted to spend time with his mom, even though he knew that she had set up the commercial shoot too. But, based on that episode, only Pam should have him as she was the one who did things with him rather than Alicia or Ralph. I do think that based on the wedding episode though that Kevin was in Alicia's custody...otherwise he would have been there. Of course, maybe he ran away and no one missed him, which is why he turned up on the A-Team.
