Vanity gets a lot of criticism. I agree on some of those points - confusion in plot, too much packed into one episode, etc.
But, I do like a lot about this episode. The introduction of the Delvera family is fun. I also like that because it is so confusing, I have to keep going back for more.

I only gave this one 2 stars (I love being a critic)........
This is my least favorite. Sad to say, as it was written by my god....
Again, confusing, uninteresting, and frankly, I dont want to watch it because I never get over my confusion, so why bother. RC wrote this and he does know something about vanity.
Only deeming quality in my opinion: the very first scene where Bill is squeezing Pam's hand.......dont ask me why.

Honestly, I think Mr. Culp - and with all due respect -really screwed up with this episode.
I loves ya, Mr. Culp, but since when would Bill Maxwell be helping a Marxist revolution?
I mean, that IS what happened back then... uprisings and fighting against powerful companies who own and govern a country? That's basic Marxism 101. So although in some ways I love this episode, I really hate that Bill is SOOOOO out of character.
Or maybe this is just another layer of Bill?
I think that this is also part of the reason why this episode is so confusing. It is really hard for fans to reconcile Bill fighting alongside Marxist Revolutionaries... so we tend to ignore that that is what is going on...
GRRRRRR.... Mr. Culp, I call "Do-Over!"
