How do you vote for IT'S ONLY ROCK 'N' ROLL?
SOLID GOLD ***** GREAT GAH **** Average GAH *** Bad GAH ** Schlock * Sub-Schlock --
Feel free to explain.

I like this episode a lot. I do not like the kids. Joey. 'Nuff said.
But I actually like the musicians here. I think Dak is a lot of fun, and overall a nice guy who comes down to earth after his encounter with the team. He is loyal to his friends and fellow musicians. And I love the Dak/Bill interaction.
Early 80s tv had a lot of bad musical numbers. I vaguely remember some awful jamming going on in episodes of Knight Rider with that blind blues musician.... what was up with early 80s musical schlock? Ugh. But this wasn't that bad - and the one scene at the Stationhouse where Dak plays is not an awful cover of a popular song. (Or is it?)
Four stars for me. It would have had five if they kept Tony and ditched Joey.

Overall, I really like this one too. I liked Dak and his buddy; their friendship is akin to Ralph's and Bill's, when Dak is POSITIVE his friend (Larry?) wouldn't be shooting up... he had faith in his buddy remaining clean, and it turns out he was right. I also like Bill and Dak being thrown together; I like how Bill tells Dak the music nowadays has "too many notes," and Dak repeats that when he and Pam are talking about his early, folksy and innocent days of music. Back before there were too many notes. I think Judson Scott did a good job in this episode; I wouldn't have minded seeing the character again. Too bad it was near the end of the series.

I totally agree with the above two comments.....4 stars...nuff said...
Must mention: Bill sees Pam in just a shirt with no pants and tells Dak to leave her alone because she is "working in (on) her briefs....."....loved that.....one of the few times we see Bill admiring Pam's body....of work?

It was Lenny, not Larry.
