Why was Cyler underrated? He was never seen in the opening credits even after Rhonda and Tony left. Some might play the race card, but even Paco was in the second season credits. Cyler brought so much to the show, but he was never seen as integral enough to have in the credits. Why is that? Does anyone else feel he was one of the most underrated students in the class?

Oh! Oh! Oh!
I do! I do!
Cyler was smart, funny, tough, hot, and level headed. He really was great.
So what was your favorite Cyler moment?
I have to say that mine was when they were in the desert, in Lost Diablo, where we find out he was the only kid smart enough not to dump his water.
(By the way, if I was going to unload my canteen in the desert, I would at least DRINK it all, so I could stay hydrated.)[/size]

I have to disagree, although I love the Cyler scenes in THE LOST DIABLO.
My favorite is in CLASSICAL GAS where Cyler takes the speaking role and tells Pam not to mess it up with Mr. H over some dude and for them. He says they want to be big stars but not at the expense of their relationship.
Very mature and heart-felt words from a kid who does have other things going for him and who seems to play second to Tony so often.

I think Cyler got a lot of good one-liners, like when Paco's going on about speaking better English, and Cyler quips that simply learning the English language might be a start! (Saturday on Sunset Blvd).
Then in "Lost Diablo" when they get where they're going and he looks out the bus window, ala Kilroy, and asks, Where's all the gold at?
I think he was the smartest one of the bunch, or at least he and Rhonda were (don't forget, Rhonda got a 90 in Lit on the re-take of the Ohio or Iowa test -- you know, one of those little four-letter-word states.)

What does that mean, huh? Four-letter-word states? Is that an insult? Should I get Cyler to knock you out? I think that Cyler did get a lot of good one-liners, but he was still the black sheep since even Paco got opening credits in the second season. Why was he so screwed? He even had a great scene in THE BEAST AND THE BLACK when he is trying to tell Ralph that Bill is dead...it was very well-delivered. Yet, without Josie and this forum....no real sharing of the love.

Yeah, it was lousy he didn't get in the creds for the secondary actors and actress, esp. since he was at least as good as they were. I think I've seen Jesse more often since GAH than the others, but I think that could be because he's more distinctive and noticeable.

One reason is probably that he never got his own show outside of this one and that he guest stars a lot where the others had shows and movies and that puts them in a pretty specific sphere of fan influence. It is too bad that he was not recognized as being the great actor that he so obviously was...especially by SJC and company.
