I had to give this one five stars, especially for the supporting characters. First off, we got to see more about Whitney High and the teachers involved and how Ralph fits in the mold. Duffy was a great and happy momentary character who helped spur the others into action. Evan did a great portrayal of the "man with a system" routine, especially at the end when he is at it AGAIN...even though he knows it was close to being the deadman's hand for him. Of course, Ray and the kids were their usual selves, but I loved how the boys were seen as more straight-laced and important to the school, especially since they were doing well enough to get scouts in the audience...probably BECAUSE of using kids like Tony on the team. I am an avid STARGATE SG-1 person and for all of us out there, you will recognize Margaret Detweiller as Katherine, the lady who recruited Dr. Jackson. She was a guest star a lot in the 80s too...even on SJC shows like THE A-TEAM. As usual, she did a stellar job in her role here, playing the stern disciplinarian that has students bang erasers, write words on the chalkboard, and wants to charge them for their diploma if they have late fees. She filled this role amazingly and the episode was the better for it. Of course, Mr. Knight returns (and now must be principal) because the VP slot is open. (Does this mean that Ralph was not allowed to do it anymore?). He does a great job being harsh with Ma Detweiller and even seems to have a decent moment of reflection with Ralph before Ralph questions him. Finally, he had a great backpedaling scene with Bill. On the bad guy side, Johnny Sunova and the "super dude" routine was HILARIOUS. He is always a great actor to see because even though he plays the same type of villain, he brings something fun and new to every role he plays. Plus, his henchmen were great too...in fact, the one driving the van near the end guest-starred in RESEDA ROSE as Lenny and Ralph flew him up the building for information. I have to say that this episode was perfect in all respects for the guest stars, even super minor ones like Ralph's neighbors who think Johnny is crazy. The guest stars and their performances are what helped to make this a great episode overall.

I'm ashamed to admit I didn't realize that was Dr Langford. I knew she looked familiar, though!

I love at the end when Bill's talking to Mr Knight about Ma Dittwaller, and says how she had "ba--" then changes it to something else, I think "courage," to stand up to the bad guys. I can't believe they left that in! RC delivered it immaculately (of course).
